In Eastern Europe, there are different charges to get into attractions for tourists and locals.
The EU rules (Ha-Ha) state that this is illegal. Again.. Ha-Ha.
It still goes on in EU and non EU Eastern European countries. It's not a lot for the tourist to pay. For instance, the caves up near Chernobyl (Ukraine - non EU) are around €1 for locals and €3 for the tourists. Not much of a difference in real terms (a favourite government phrase), but a leap of 200% in reality.

I have been in a lot of tourist spot in Thailand and they almost always have a lot of different charges for tourists and local. One is in the Grand palace. we, the tourists were charged and we had to fall in queue to get in while the locals can come in for free.
