I am hoping to move to melbourne on a years working holiday visa from Jan and need some advice on where to live. we lived in sydney for 6 months last year and we have visited melbourne a couple of times. however, we are unsure which suburbs are the nicest/safest etc.
Also, does anyone know how easy jobs are to get at the mo? just general retail work or call centres etc.
Thanks

if you want to be close to the city, somewhere like brunswick, richmond, hawthorn, burnley would be good, however these suburbs can be pretty exy.
the eastern suburbs are probably safer than the west.
as for jobs...i've been looking for full time work for about six months and am still unemployed.
but other people have found a job in a week.
it's really a case of being in the right place at the right time.
