Lake eyre buy two wheel drive

Does any one know if it is possible to get to Lake Eyre in a standard vehicle?

The vehicle of choice being a 4 cyclinder holden rodeo

I wanna take my old man to see it but he's not in the best of shape so i just need to know if it's possible for one person to get there in a standard vehicle without to much hastle.

Yes I think the Oodnadatta Track would be passable for a 2wd holden rodeo. This being said it is now November and temperatures in the region will be very high. It's not recommended to travel remotely in the desert at all during summer, especially in a single vehicle with someone "not in the best shape". If you want to travel up that way I'd do it during the winter months (June-August) and check the local info available on the Lake Eyre Yacht Club site.
