Full moon party NYE 2009/10

Hey,
Im going to Thailand the NYE and will be going to the full moon party.
There are 4 of us going (single guys) and we are spending most the holiday in Phuket but we are looking to stay 4 nights in Koh Samui arounf NYE to make it easier to get to the full moon party.
Are there many singles at koh samui during that time or is it all couples.
Any advice would be great.

There are always plenty of single people around Koh Samui. I haven't done the full moon party but I'm assuming your heading for Koh Phangan. If so, and intend to stay there I strongly suggest you have your accom. booked in advance otherwise you will be sleeping on the beach or in expensive accom. IMHO
