National holidays in Peru

Hi

I am planning a trip to Peru next year and will possibly be in Lima at the end of August, I have read that there is a national holiday (Feast of Santa Rosa de Lima) on August 30th does anyone know what happens on this day and if it has any effect on public transport?

you dont have to worry about that holiday
public transport works normally that day but they will charge 50% more on normal fare

The previous post is correct. You should expect a rise in the bus fares leaving on that date due to the holidays.

The holidays is due to a Catholic Festivity, mainly in Lima.
