no that wont work ! what about forgetting about the return flite i have booked from brussels and fly home from another airport the next day ?? belgium, france whereever ??

That what I was speculating about above, with the flights from Hahn, Germany.

You can play around with www.skyscanner.net on your own, but as you can see the consensus between me and lil.lil is right now that your best bet is to take the taxi to Brussels.

Oh darn it. Sorry, in between too many flight searches, somehow I've got Dublin-Paris rather than Paris-Dublin. Gaah, sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry.

Looks like it's back to the consensus between t_maia and myself then - just take the taxi out.

I played with skyscanner.net some more, I can currently see flights from Paris Charles-de-Gaulle to Liverpool for 89 EUR on the morning of the 19th with easyjet. Does that work for you? You'd only have to take the ferry to Dublin.

no problem lil !!! its cool !! you have been very helpfull to me !! im sure someone else will look at this blog 2nite/2morow and cum up with another idea that will get me wondering !!

no maia it would work out worse !! boat wud be another €60 at least on top of that and then a bus to the ferry ! back to the drawing board !!!!!

I really don't know if there's going to be other cheaper solution. Unless someone is willing to sacrifice on the drinking and drive.

Look at it this way. Taxi costs €400 but it'll bring you straight from Paris to the airport in Brussels. That works out to €80 per person. Remember how earlier you were talking about train tickets to Brussels and that's already like €60? It's not that much more a difference when you break it down like this.

Assuming you can somehow find a cheaper flight from Paris. You'll need to compound in some €10-€15 for bus/RER to the airport. Staying overnight in Paris at hostel could take up some €20. That means your ticket plus taxes and charges must not exceed €40-45 to make sense. Otherwise, you'll end up spending more than just the €80 per person share to take the taxi.

Just think about it.

only other option to save money is to look for another few quotes for the taxi ride !! can anyone reccomend a private coach hire or taxi firm that wont rip me off ??

is everyone sure there is no bus route to brussels after midnight !

bus companies run between northern ireland and dublin every hour in ireland !!! just thought France wud be the same !!

Yet another thought: Have you checked the ferries from France to Ireland?

Roscoff to Cork, Roscoff to Rosslare, Cherbourgh to Rosslare? How much are those?

Although that will probably be a dud too, because Paris to Roscoff by train is approx. 70 EUR already.
