Thanks to lil_lil and some handy excel work, the list is now sorted alphabetically (by country). Just find a country you have lived/travelled in and see if there's a place on the list that we don't have a guide for yet and click the placename to get started!! ;)

Great work guys and girls: keeps it easier to track some places.
Cheers

No problem at all, glad to be able to help.

Now, just to let you know, I've started working on some articles for France, namely trying to tidy up some articles, create the linking region articles, and update information on specific sights. The regional articles, in particular, are really very basic for now but I'll be filling them up so don't worry about half-empty articles for those. I won't abandon them half-way like that. ;)

Also, given quite a few of French name of places have accented characters, if an article exists, they don't come up on search when I tried searching the Travel Guide if I type only plain unaccented alphabets. So I tested with creating a redirect, of the unaccented name to be redirected towards the accented one. That works. So from now on, if I come across cases like this, I think I'll do the same, unless anyone has objection?

Weirdly enough, even inserting the name with accent into the search box also failed to give me the proper search result. E.g. try to go to Travel Guide, copy and paste Franche-Comté into the search box. I ended up getting an empty article page asking me to start the article. Which is really bizarre since this article does exist.

(Am I making sense?)

Anyho, I'll be away from internet access this weekend, but I'll work on the articles I've started on. Once back to land of wi-fi and fast internet, I'll update those accordingly.

Nice little workaround! :) We're actually having parts of the search redone on the backend now, so I'll see if this is one of the things that will be able to be fixed, to avoid hacks like this. But for now I'm quite fine with the concept. It also means people typing it in automatically get to where they need to be rather than starting a new article when there might already be one with an accent!

Weird, looks like a bug to me having to do with encoding on that search field. Will see if we can fix that.
