I'm leaving for Brazil this februari for about 6 to 8 weeks. Besides cruising down the beautiful coast and enjoying the beautiful surf, I really would want to work on some volunteering projects from which local communities benefit. I've looked around and I found some, but I believe there must be loads more.
On practical terms, I'm looking for projects in the region from Rio all the way up to Belize. Preferably of course, but it of course totally depends on what is actually needed when and where.
But if anybody has a tip, I would very much appreciate it!
Keep traveling and smiling everybody!
i cant help u with finding something.
i have just an advice:
some experineces showed that its better to look at the projects by yourself when you are there. dont believe everything you get to know before or on the projects website.
have a nice trip to brasil !
you can find some good volunteering opportunities on the following website: www.idealist.org . They cater specially for international and local NGOs and offer a wide range of jobs, work placements, internships and volunteer opportunities in all kinds of places! A friend of mine went to Argentina to work for Medecins du Monde, having found the placement through this site. She had a fantastic time!
yeah im also on a similar kind of mission. volunteering and some wicked kite and wave surf locations
a mate wrote me this :
