My name is Eoin, I'm 26 and currently planning a trip around the world from the UK/Ireland in late february onwards. My plans to-date are flexible as I await permission for a career break at work (Say a prayer). My idea is to travel to those parts of the world that I will perhaps not go once I settle down etc. So far I will be flying from Belfast to London. From London I hope to fly to Bangkok via Delhi. In India I will be taking an organised 2 week tour from Delhi to Katmandu (Nepal). I will fly back to Delhi and continue on to Bangkok. From there I intend to stay 6-8 weeks in SE Asia and backpack independently.
Q1. Should I a) Travel from Bangkok around coast through Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and back down through Thailand to Bangkok.
b) Travel from Bangkok around coast through Cambodia Vietnam, Laos and up around to Hong Kong.
From either Bangkok or Hong Kong I intend to fly to Sydney and see some friends and a bit of Australia. I then intend to fly to South America (perhaps via Auckland) and spend 6-8 weeks in South America.
Q2. Where should I fly to in South America to get a good round trip, definately to include Peru and across country to Brazil and Buenos Aires. I see some good threads on South America so intend to research more. I really just need a flight plan that makes sense.
And finally from South America to home.
I really look forward to getting your advice.
