It was 1971 (yes, I'm an old guy), I took the train from Paris to Hidleburg Germany. I got to Hidleburg about one in the morning and it was pouring rain. I had no german money (this was before the Euro) and I had my suitcase with me so I laid down on a table in a locker room in the train station and tried to sleep untill the police came in to kick out some bums sleeping in there so I spent the rest of the night sitting on my suitcase in the station. In the morning I was able to get some money changed and put my suitcase in a locker, then I bought some pastry and was walking down the street eating it when some tourists from the US stopped me and asked me if I spoke english. I said I did, but that's all I could speak.

I experience it many times, but the worst thing is that when I wake up I am far to my destination. So, now when I do travel I will not sleep any more. It is better to be vigilance all the time.

[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]
