I think I might have had what could be a brainwave, in that I think I might buy my husband a Nintendo Wii for Christmas. Just had a quick look on amazon and I'm completely baffled.
What would I actually need to start us off?
Would he actually enjoy it, do you think, being as he's an old fogey and not into sport? But the do other, non-sporty games, don't they?
I feel rather daft asking this
I think the basic package is just the console and the controllers, but you can also buy other accessories such as steering wheels, zappers and balance boards for yoga.
I'm not sporty but I really enjoy playing the tennis, and the ten-pin bowling is good fun. There are loads of other, non - sporty games available though. If he likes computer games I think he'd enjoy it, and you might even find yourself getting into it too!
I'm sure others would have more to add, as I'm only going off my experience playing on my friends' and family's Wiis.
Thank you bex76, that's really helpful and confirms the additional research I've done since I posted. I'm about to place my order now - found a Wii bundle on Amazon, and I'm adding an additional controller. I'm going to get him the Formula 1 game, so a steering wheel as well. He's going to love it! Yes, I'll have a go as well!
