its the full company one on saturday - the sports and social group in work hired a room in a local venue, a bus picks us up from work and drops us there for a 3 course meal, then theres a band playing, followed by a floor show and then a dj till about 2.30, think he ends just after the bar closes, it should be good, theres just under 800 people going so it'll be quieter then last year but i can't wait, i think most people aren't go because of the embarresment from last year..... its silly really, everyones drunk and having a good time so who cares !!!

the dept work do was dinner and a piss up 2 weeks ago, like who heard of a xmas meal in Nov ???

what are you doing for yours ?

I could shop for hours and hours - until you get that slightly dizzy feeling, and you know if you don't stop you're going to faint away onto the Metro track as you make your way to the next Tristan & America store cause the last one didn't have a size 2 for your very skinny sister...

I like to shop alone, though. I hate the pressure of someone hovering over me, wishing I would just hurry up, hurry up, just pick one! I actually ran down an opposite aisle away from my b-friend on Friday night, cause I wanted to browse in peace... poor thing (him, that is, not me).

ha! ha! ha! and i thought ours was really early! yours sounds great, we can swap if ya want! we've got the whole 15 of us, just going for a four course meal, nothing special really but i suppose you make it what you want. 800-thats outrageous-it sounds fab!

The one perk of ours is that we got our fit securicor guy going!-woweeee what a perk ay!

right idea you had there T! men are such a bore to take shopping! dont you find they walk round with faces like thunder...or is that just the blokes that i know...or is it just me and shoppping that makes em like it!!

yeah 800 sounds like a lot but theres about 1200 working for the company and you can bring partners so its not as wild as it could be,......

cool, what does your fit guy look like ???!! ( i'm a very nosey person)......

the perk of my xmas party is that my boyf' works for the same company so he'll be there anyway, to carry me home after i get locked and make a show of myself on the dance floor....

yeah i agree men are impossible to bring shopping !!! even when they go shopping for themselves, they walk in the entrance of a shop, don't see what they want and leave, they don't even seem to bother !!!

oh yeh you've got to make a show of yourself haven't you!-otherwise what's the point and thats good at least your b/f can carry you out-they come in handy for some things!

Our securicor bloke is lovely, really easy to chat to, hes...hmmm...medium build, about average height...shaved hair, umm it's really difficult to describe him, somehow i dont think i'll be in there as he is a bit too old for me but hey what harm does a little flirting do!

you be as nosey as you like-i'm the same, he! he!

how old is he ????

I know! I know! Shopping goes something like:

  • he walks into a store
  • looks around
  • then stands right in the middle of an aisle, so people have to go around him
  • says "I'll just come back next week"
  • shrugs when I say "but you're here now!"
  • picks up the closest thing, says "I'll get my sister this"
  • shrugs when I say "but you haven't even looked around!"

We finally agree to disagree, but it's still frustrating.

This fit guy sounds interesting. No time like a Christmas party!

well...are you sitting...down...
...
... 37 he's just a bit younger than my dad! he really doesnt look it, he's going through his second divorce at the mo! i was stunned when i asked how old he was, i still cant believe it-i thought he was in his early thirties at the most-just goes to show you tho!

well it's all good fun, i tell ya i always attract the 'older' type of guy, the bloke who owns the food place down the road likes me and he's 30-he knows i'm only 19! that doesnt stop him from trying!

we are terrible at work, we have one bloke working for us so whenever a fit bloke comes in were all like...mouths wide open!-we had firemen the other week-drool...
