Well I have finally gotten to go overseas though I have travelled extensively around Australia. I finally got to go to:
The best place was Germany as I finally go to meet my grandmothers youngest brother he is 85 sadly we didn't find him sooner as it would have been great for the two of them to see each other. The international red cross helped through there tracing program. My dad had tried and so had Great Uncle Josef and through a cross referencing of the two enquiries they contacted us first. It had been 65yrs since anyone had heard of either families. They were separated during the second world war. It was wonderful to find a whole new family we didn't know we had. Also enjoyed England especially the east coast my hubby comes from Hull so we went back and explored all the places he had lived it was 30 yrs since he had been back. Loved the sea side towns but our beaches here in aus are the best.
USA (about 15 states)
South Africa (holiday and lived there)
and in 2006/7 I want to add:

France (twice, but just Paris and Montflanquin)

Austria (Wien, Graz, Salzburg and Innsbruck)
Tschechische Republik (Prague)
and all these places were great!
but which place you have visited is the one you prefer??it is always just an opinion, but I have to plan my next trip...
