Hello everyone!

In about a week I'm off to Myanmar with my friend, but the last 10 days of March (19th - 30th) I'll be alone exploring Bangkok and some Thai islands. So I'm looking for someone who will also be taking it easy: exploring the islands, swimming, snorkelling, partying (half moon on 23rd)...

Anyone interested joining me? ;)

Heyy guys!

I'm a 22 year old female from the UK, and just randomly bought a ticket to Thailand for a month in June! Not really thinking about where i'm going to go or what to do..

A friend of mine went last year, and gave me a few tips on places to go or avoid so i'm not so nervous about that, but I didn't put much thought into travelling alone.

I'm looking to travel in a more relaxing way and more interested in sightseeing and doing activities such as scuba diving, surfing etc... than hardcore partying. Tho I will definitely have to do the full moon party and tubing!

So If anyone is interested is spending a few weeks together going round Thailand then email me and let me know. :). Would be great to get to know u a bit b4 and see how we would get on.

Giselle

:)

In May I'm turning 25, having a quarter-life crisis, and running away from home. ;) I'll be on Bali from May 13 until June 29 finishing up my scuba instructor certification. If anyone else will be there then, shoot me a message. After that, it's off to KL for me and then to Sulawesi for a scuba job til mid-August.

23 year old male from Colorado. Must. get. out. of. country...

Seems like everyone's going in the summer or later. I'm headed to Thailand from about mid-March to mid-May. I'm mostly wanting to explore Thailand so that I don't leave and feel like, "I missed this this and this! Gotta go back". If anyone's interested in joining up during this time, I'm down to share my journey...might even be preferable to solo-ing all the time. I have no set plans, so the opportunities, for now, seem endless. Let me know if interested.

Think I also (mistakenly?) posted a companion thing in the Asia forum

i'm doing roughly the same route too and i've been to these places a few times before. i'm planning to be in sweden in late may for my swedish travel mates wedding. then i'll take the transiberian train to beijing only to rush into hanoi to pick up my little sister, who's off to uni next fall so i'm paying for her to be out there with me for two months! so basically, i should be in vietnam around mid to late june! all of you guys should email me, fb me, find me!

shareeny., i have quite a few suggestions for you itinerary, there are cetain things you don't want to miss...

Thailand:

add the city Pai to your list. you won't regret it! cos most of the cities you listed are large and bustling, whereas you can't really go wrong with the thai islands. if you want quiet time possibly cos you met someone on the road. hit up koh chang! haha

Laos:

the capital vientaine is nothing to rave about, pretty torn down, night life is boring. and for me coming from two months in china, i was all templed-out! luang prabang has better temples. rent a motorbike to get the waterfall, it's breath taking! also, you might end up dedicating a lot of time to tubing and trying out the "special menu" in vang vieng! again, rent a motorbike in vang vieng and explore outside of the town, there are so many little hidden treasures out there!

Vietnam: this is one of my favorite and is also my specialty!

Saigon: definite must see, amazing street food, great night-life, a few museum to hit up. stay around the pham ngu lao area. stay at mama cuc's place...roughly 8 bucks a night and you'll be pampered!

Da Lat: it's a good place to get away from the cities, it's higher up so it has cool weather like here in california. it can be a bit refreshing and possibly boring.

Mui Ne: do not go here unless you have a boyfriend or something. this is a total honeymooner type place. really quiet, not much going on besides being quiet. rent a motorbike to see all the sites. the tour is annoying...

Hanoi: this place is ehh. if you're here, you should look into getting out to Cat Ba island. it's beautiful (think the movie "the beach")

Da Nang: skip this place completely and go 30 min north hoi an...it's a classical city with so many beautiful sites, cultures, beachs, foods, and an ok night life, but if you're outgoing you'll find a lot of crazy night life on the beach that wil go after hours and into the morning(but you might have to organize the parties and bring the people, haha)!

Hue: if you have any experience with the language...it's a trip to hear these people speak, by far one of the heaviest of vietnamese accents.

you should definitely add...nha trang to your list!! beautiful beaches, great food, loads of night life to seems to go on forever, snorkeling/scuba, and boat trips!!! floating in the middle of the ocean while a dood on a man-made floaty thing handing you whiskey shots...lovely time!

My Son: i like this place

anyways, if you want to know more about anything, just message me!
