i need to get from Newcastle to Nuremberg and the cheapest option seems to be for me to fly from Newcastle to Paris and then use a railpass to cover the rest of the distance. if i touch down in charles de gaulle what method is cheapest for me to reach paris est station and whats the cost/time frame to the journey?
thanks in advance and a happy new year to you all!
From CDG airport, take the RER B to Gare du Nord. Change to metro line 4 (direction Porte d'Orleans) or metro line 5 (direction Place d'Italie) for one stop to Gare de l'Est. The ticket costs €8.50 one-way and you can change from RER B to the metro without additional charge. The travelling time is under 30 minutes.

Note the fare indicated is different from this website than the price that I've given. My friend in Paris has mentioned just a couple of days ago that fares are increased in the new year and I therefore have gone to RATP website today to get the new price.
