Could have been the same route with BA, KLM, Lufthansa etc. - you would have paid around 10 times as much for your ticket, with the same rubbish attitude and problems. I prefer to pay a bucket load less and take the same risk. Incidentally, I've just returned from BG after doing Stansted-Plovdiv with Ryanair for £48 return.
Crap service, a mini riot on the plane before take-off (another post altogether at a later date - maybe), staff that appear to have done no more than a two day training course - or even less than that, as the case may be - with the most 'Couldn't care less' attitude, but for £48, who's got anything to complain about? Certainly not me. In fact the little riot that I speak of, was very amusing. It held the plane up for around 50 minutes, and it was still only 20 minutes late landing. Even Air Canada can't boast of Ryanair's excellent timekeeping. They have the best in Europe.
The same route (that would have involved at least one change and probably a total of 24 hours en-route, that I covered in under 4) with national carriers would have cost most of your holiday spending money.
Long live budget airlines, including EasyJet.
