My boyfriend and I are travelling through Spain in April this year, and i'm looking for some recommendations on nature travel. We're both used to backpacking through Asia, and we want to do the same sort of travel in Spain... beaches, mountains, hiking, sailing, etc. So far we're planning Ibiza and Majorca, as well as Barcelona and Madrid.
Also, what would the weather be like in April... I realise it's a huge country, but would there be any part of the country where we would have to consider cold weather gear?
Thanks for you help!
April is the wettest month of the year here in Spain - and the rain can be torrential!
Down here in Andalucia we have the best weather - April temperatures often into the 70s - and most to see.
Have a look at the LOCAL INFO of our website for suggestions of places to visit - www.bandblakevinuela.com
The countryside in April is wonderful - cities are not the greatest places to spend all your time.

Hav a wonderrful time in Spain.
beaches, mountains, hiking
I have lived more than 10 years in different parts of Spain. April is beautiful almost everywhere. Although the highest peaks in Sierra Nevada and the Cantabrian mountains are still snowcapped, the valleys and lower mountains are in full bloom. Also the coasts, including the north coast, are absolutely beautiful this time of year.
For hiking on the Spanish mountains and coasts, check -snip-. It has 235 walks in the Pyrenees, the Picos de Europa, the Sierra Nevada, the Valencian mountains etc. For each walk you find a recommended season, in addition to descriptions, maps, photos and slide shows.
[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]
April is considered as one of the rainy season in Spain but you can still enjoy the sceneries here. You can enjoy it while having the famous tea in the town and since its cold here during April, this is the best moth to have a quality time with your love partner or with your family.
