That's a very hard one to answer, but I'd have to say Paris is #1. Tied for #2 would be Rome, Amsterdam and Copenhagen.

Hmmm I would have to say my all time favorite- Santorini, it's magical.

For cities, I would go with Paris, Berlin, Barcelona. The culture is amazing in each and there are endless things to enjoy for a short trip.

Paris- check out the le marais for shopping. Berlin- Kreuzberg for trendy/artsy scene. Barcelona- Gracia for local life + bars.

Rome, hands down. There's nothing quite like the touring the outskirts of la città eterna during a hot summer night.

It all depends what time of year you're going. My favs are Sarajevo and Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina. People are amazing, it's cheap, beautiful scenery and it's had a colourful history. Also Lake Bled in Slovenia is sensational! Amazing, beautiful blue water lake with a monestary on an island in the middle, castle on a cliff, waterfalls nearby, heaps of activities. Lake Bled is best in Summer and Bosnia is good anytime (skiing is cheap!). Tallinn, Estonia, desperves a mention particually if you like medieval like towns with great drinking spots. Bonus to all....not as many tourists!

While Rome and Venice are a close second and third, my favorite city has to be Strasbourg, France. I’m a little biased since I studied abroad there, but Strasbourg has it all. La Petite France is an old time, quaint French village inside the city that’s also the seat of the European Union. There are tons of things to do and see and the people are very nice. Be sure to visit the Cathedral!

Lisbon is a wonderful city. Having sent ships to every corner of the world over the centuries, the Portuguese seem to have brought the flavour of each country back with them. This means you can find music and food from every corner of the world alongside the wonderful culture of th Portuguese themselves.

It's cheap, easy to get around and I personally can't ever get enough of it.

A surprise favourite for me is Krakow in Poland. A beautiful city and until I ended up booking a flight to it I didn't even know it existed. Alternatively I enjoyed the Juliske Alps in Slovenia (especially if you're looking for an active trip). It depends on what you're going for and when. Whatever you decide on...enjoy!!!

Vienna is an excellent place to just hang out - most people are friendly and Cafe Central with its unbelievable range of coffee, tea and cakes - especially the cakes! - is a great place to chill out in. Venice is probably the most romantic, more so than Paris (as long as it's not flooded!). Bratislava is a good place to get away from it all, it's not too touristy...well yet anyway.
