Thank you all for your replies! You've probably helped others decide too.

Paris and Rome seem to be favourites, I'm lucky to say I have visited both and share your opinions on the beautiful cities.

Barcelona is one city I would love to visit.
Bulgaria was suggested by 'Zoroslav', after I did some research it really caught my eye. Looks wonderful!

For me I would say Brugge in Belgium. It is one of the most beautiful cities I have been to. Stunning medievil city with a great relaxed atmosphere

I loved Cesky Krumlov in the Czech rep though I'd second Bosnia. It just had something unexpected and somewhat indescribeable about it which I loved. Rubbish description but places tend to be so talked about in Europe nowadays that it's great to feel like you've discovered something.

Depending on what type of traveller you are, Dubrovnik could be the thing you're looking for either...

Angles sur l'Anglin in France. Sitting in the high town small square enjoying the sun, sipping whatever and watching people go by is the closest to heaven I am ever likely to get.

Though I live in Kiev, my favourite european city is Praque. Wonderful city, where the old architecture coincides with the modern view! Realy amazing place which is worth to be visited. If you once were there, you would definitely return there again))

For me it has to be the little town of Canaules in the south of France.
Small but full of character and surrounded by very welcoming little vineyards
