Hello there!

I am new here and this is my post!
I am a freelance travelling graphic designer from Istanbul Turkey. Right now i am living in Brooklyn and planning to move to Buenos Aires for few months(max 3 probably).

. I was wondering (never been on to South America before), how much budget would i need to live in Buenos Aires. from what i looked the room rents are pretty reasonable when compared to Brooklyn. I can rent a room around 400-450$ at there how much would i need for shopping for food? Including rent is 1000$ enough to live at there?

Thanks in advance

If you can find accom for as little as 450, I'd say 1000 total budget takes you a long way, seen that food and public transport are not very expensive at all.

You could live well with that budget. The local currency in Argentina is the Argentine Peso ARS ($), and for USD$1 you will obtain approx ARS$4, so it is a very positive change for people who manage their costs in dollar. These are some useful facts that allow you to understand better the economic and cultural situation in Buenos Aires.
