Q: hey guys,
well i'm off in 9 days for india and I've yet to pick up mosquito net and repellant and stuff...is it absolutely necessary or do hotels/hostels usually provide nets, are they hard to put up- how exactly?..as for the spray- do I spray over or under sun-lotion--cos i havent thought much about it but being irish i guess i'll have to wear some-or maybe during day its not so important-mossies are asleep or something.......9 days...be in bombay next saturday 11th late- anyone in bombay then on for a drink gimme a shout- or does any1 plan hitting the paul van dijk festival in bombay that same weekend? drop me a line....cheers

hey majortom (that sounds very official)!!!

I'm off to India in Jan!
My sister went there last year and although alot of places do provide you with mozzie nets she said that they are on the crappy side, lots of holes and too small. So it's probably best to take your own, and make it a double!
You can buy some kind of coil to burn to keep the little blighters away from your room, I've heard that citronella spray is good too.

yep its better to take your own net along.
the kind of anti-mosquito candles u can burn down, are ok.
but for regions with malaria or dengue u should use a repelant with DEET ( the more the b├ętter ).
