YES, I KNOW THIS IS A DUPLICATE POST..;) NECESSARY FOR FULL ATTENTION

Hi,
From June 11 to July 11 the World Cup 2010 will be held in South Africa.
With less than 5 months to go, I guess quite a few people here on Travellerspoint are planning a trip to South Africa.

If not, there are also options to help and make the South African travelguide complete if you have been there. Especially the study, work and health sections need attention.

There are links to all of the regions (provinces) and the main cities and towns, including the ones which have matches of the World Cup. Most of them need much more info though.

So if you have been there, no matter if it's just one town: please help and the South African guide (including all links in that article) a decent one for people travelling there later this year.
The Hipporoller project is also located in South Africa (Johannesburg), so some extra help before the 28th of February (date that the project ends) would certainly be great.

Thanks for all your help and good luck.
Have fun
Michael

Excellent idea. I've added a Project page for this as well, linking up the host cities. It's also linked to from the main page of the guide to keep all our minds on it :)

Someone tried to do promotional accommodation stuff on the articles for South Africa. I've reverted those back, and hope I didn't miss any, so just keep an eye out, ok.

I took a look, you only missed Pretoria, which is now reverted as well. If you want to get rid of these things, it helps to get to the user profile, as you can see all the edits (s)he did. You can also report the user. (after which you get a thank you, and request to contribute to the wiki guide ... hmm)

Lol... I'm already contributing to the wiki anyway ;)

Haven't been to Kruger myself, so can't compare every park.
But Madikwe Game Reserve is my favorite!

I think we must aim to have the south africa page, featured somewhere in the near future.

I just did some work on the keeping connected and health sections, and some minor tweaks throughout the article.
Study and work is still blank though, going to work on that during the weekend plus running through the article for some extra tweaks.
All of the major regions, cities and towns, and some of the main parks, have articles as well and the article is coming together pretty nicely if I do say so myself.

EDIT: ok, work and study are done, and although not very extensivly, there isn't much more to say about it.
Did a quick run through the rest of the article, some links and tweaks and minor edits.
Apart from a run-through by Eric (dr. pepper) I guess it is actually ready to be featured. Just like Paris by the way

and as far as I am concerned, I think Australia could be re-featured (if that is the proper word.)
