Hi, I've used Wired Destinations half a dozen times, booking accommodation in various parts of the world,
and i continue to use them, because i've always found them to be prompt, reliable, and efficient.

The booked hotels have been fine.

Absolutely no bad experiences to report, the staff have always been helpful and pleasant, and i'll keep on
with them !

I booked through Wired Destinations for my upcoming trip about a week ago. The bookings are fine, but my credit card information got stolen. Please read on.

The booking itself is fine, I called and checked with the respective hotels and confirmed that my bookings exist and have been paid for. The price was what was listed when I made my booking (+ slight differences after factoring in the exchange rate from Thai Baht).

However, I have an issue that my credit card info was stolen. This morning, I got a call from my credit card company telling me that someone had forged my credit card information and tried to make a huge transaction from a local Thailand store. My credit card was cancelled immediately and I have to get a new one, re-routing all my pre-authorized payments, etc. This has really caused inconveniences as I ended up spending the whole morning talking to the bank and other companies to reroute all those payments.

The Wired Destinations was the only transactions I did for my upcoming trip. What a co-incidence the Wired Destinations is a Thai company, and my credit card got forged and attempted to be used in Thailand. So I can only point my finger to Wired Destinations. I just want you guys to watch out if you're reading this, and hope you don't have the kind of bad luck like mine. Anyways, I still consider myself lucky because my credit card company caught it right away.

I have written to file a complaint to Wired Destinations, and am waiting to hear back from them.

DonĀ“t use Wired Destinations! They are open for communication regarding payment only, trying to complain is useless. If you travel with children: During the bookingprocess it looked like this for 3 persons:
Room Type Premier Occupants Adult 2 / Child 1
Check In Date Fri, 04 July 2008 Check Out Date Fri, 25 July 2008
Meal Plan Breakfast No. of Nights 21
No. of Rooms 1 Room per Night 1,276.00/1,570.00 SEK

Later, when the voucher came as a confirmation of payment it said breakfast included for 2 persons! They refuse to respond and they have the money on the bank.

Do not believe any of these reviews that this company is legit. The people writing those posts are most likely working for the company. If however you decide not to believe me - pay your money and then you will find out the hard way - like i did!

My story - paid for hotel booking in full - but they charged extra at the time of payment saying that it was due to currency conversion.
Then a week before the holiday, sent an email saying that the company has ceased operation and my booking has been cancelled.
I contacted the hotel direct and they do not ever deal with wired destinations and have never received my booking. So my holiday is now cancelled as i cant afford to book another hotel.

In the meantime, wired destinations are still in operation - funny seeing as they are supposed to have folded!!

Trust me - DO NOT BOOK with these guys.

This is a hell wd not this one in line I have done a reservation of 700 Euros and they dont answer the telephone nor the e-mails. They say that my this return is in consideration. believe that they have swindled me, someone with this problem. :(

WD are basically a scam agency. They will either take your money and then tell you they have ceased operation and cancel your booking (yet continue to take bookings) or take your money and book you into an inferior hotel.

The hotel we suposedly booked through said they dont deal with WD and a booking under my name had never been made. Despite 6 months prviously WD sending me a booking receipt! ITS A SCAM!!!!!!

If you book by credit you can claim the money back though the bank, who then investigate the company.

If you pay direct with the company, ie:cheque, i dont think you will see your money again.

There is a pretty strong rumour at the moment that Wired Destinations has ceased operating. Apparently they are no longer answering their phones and their website is also no longer processing bookings.

In any case, given all the feedback in this thread and the above, I would currently not recommend you book through this company or website, even if it does end up being possible again. There are literally thousands of websites out there offering accommodation bookings, and I see no reason to tempt fate by booking with a company that's clearly got some issues to contend with.
