Hello,

Was wondering if anybody knew a cheap and quick route from Rio de Janeiro - Buenos Aires?

Possibly by experiencing some of the coast of Brazil for some scuba/surf too?

Any tips much appreciated!
Thanks

Unfortunately methods of travel in South America tend to be either one or the other. You can get a bus from Rio to BA. It will take maybe 30 hours but you can break it up by stopping in Iguacu Falls or somewhere along the way. I don't really know about prices of flying but I don't think it would be cheap. Definately not at short notice either. It takes about 4 hours to fly Rio - BA. I can't help on scuba/surf locations.

Hope that helps a bit!

Rio to Foz do Iguacu (the town on the Brazilian side of the falls) is around 21 hours by bus, and to Buenos Aires from Puerto Iguacu it's 18 hours, but the journey is fine because the buses in Argentina are fantastic.

I'm not sure if there is a quicker route between Rio and BA but it's definitely worth going via Iguacu Falls and I'd highly recommend seeing it from both the Argentine and Brazilian sides.

planes are not expansie at all, tehre are many airlines which makes daily this route. Check it out. Bus is an option but 22 hours on the road is absolluty stressing!

well you decide!

see you!
