Hi there

I'm planning a trip to Spain that will involve alot of travel, either from the bottom of Spain to Barcelona or from the bottom of Spain, through Portugal ending in Porto.

I've tried to book a car online through Avis and Eurocar and neither have the option of booking a car for a one way trip (i.e. pick up the car in Jeres and drop off in Barcelona). Can anyone suggest a company that does this?

Thanks in advance
John

Hi John:
In general: try to avoid booking directly with car rental agencies, but use a website like holidayautos or similar (expedia offers this as well) instead. Usually, prices are lower, as they compare numerous companies and one-ways are usually possible as well.

Avoid Europcar by the way, heard many stories about money withdrawn from creditcard afterwards and it takes months to get it back. Thse were all in Spain!

Hi we have done many one way rentals with carhire3000 probably over 20 and have never had a problem, the cars are always new, always ready, and the customer service if you do hit a problem is very good. Last year we had a car booked at Pisa airport, but the flight was diverted to Bergamo (4hours drive way!) due to thunderstorms. We explained our problem at the desk, and they gave us a car without any hassle, all within about 20 minutes of landing. We just dropped it off at Pisa on the way home. Using them again this year in California (another one way rental)

Good luck!
