Hi all,

On a long trip, if you're in foreign countries for, say, over six months, surely its natural to get days when you're feeling homesick, missing family and friends and familiar things.
:(
Has anyone any tips on the best way to get through this? And what do people miss the most about home?

My best mates and family. Im used to being homesick in london, i often wonder why i live here, but the money is good and thats what is enabling me to travel. Proper pubs and decent Guinness are hard to come by too.

As far as i know there is no cure for homesickness, aside from completely trusting that everything works out well in the end. It would only be worse if you acted on the urge to go home, as you'd feel like you'd let yourself down.

what i long most is my kind of food...the typically spicy stuff.. homesickness also makes me call home a good numbers of times.... but then i overrule the home sickness part.. when i think how sick i become when i m home.....
sometimes u r more happy away from home than when home...;) then again they say ...home is where the heart is...
