At some point on my rtw trip I'll be in new zealand and would love to try skydiving.
Was just wondering if anyone had done it and what it's like??
Is it as scary as I think it is??

I have jumped several times. It is likely that your first jump will be a tandem jump where you are connected to a veteran jumper. It is still quite scary and quite a rush. It is hard to describe in words but something you will remember forever, especially if you jump again as the first time is kind of a blur. Jumping out of a plane at 14,500 ft., freefalling until you reach 7 or 8 thousand feet and then coming to a virtual halt is an amazing sensation. Once the canopy is open, the descent and landing are almost as much fun. Go for it, you will be sorry if you don't.

I've been wanting to do this for a while now. I already jumped off a bridge (bungy) so i think i'm ready to jump out of an airplane. Any good places to do it in australia?

You have to do it. I jumped in Lebanon, Maine a few years ago and it was amazing. Quite simply the most fun you can have by yourself. Make sure you get them to film your jump. My video is a treasured possesions and often comes out after a few beers.

I did tandem paragliding from 1,000 metres in Pokhara, Nepal early this year. It was cool

i think tandem skydiving is alot less scarrier then bungy jumping. because you dont really have to do much but enjoy the ride. the people around you are very experienced and relaxed and they will make it alot of fun for you. oh and for some reason they all have nice bodies. puh hahaha. i just thought that was funny.
