Hi, for some time now I've been thinking about a road trip to Mongolia. Does the idea of this adventure appeal to anybody else??
The very rough plan would be something like this:
Time: 2011 - June/July
Duration: 5-8 weeks.
Route: London-Prague-Kiev-Ulan Bator (by car). I would then perhaps like to travel by train onto Beijing. The favoured return option would be to travel back on the 'Trans Mongolian railway' to Moscow-St Petersburg-Finland, and then flyback to London.
Cost: Difficult one, and open to discussion. Certainly no 5 star hotels on this trip, more like the car, tents, and hostels, and maybe local hospitality!!
Maybe two cars (4 people), might be a good idea. Or even three cars, and 6 people!! who know's.
