we are planning a trip to thailand in may where we are teaching for 3 months and then plan to travel throught south east asia and finish up back in thailand and maybe do some more teaching we plan to take a year to do this,
can anybody offer any advice about buying a return to bangkock as the airlines do not offer a return flight so far in advance and i understand the thailand immigration need to see a return ticket, i have been told you can sell your return part of the ticket but i dont like the sound of that
any advice would be appreciated
thankyou jez n bernie
Thailand is offering free 60 day tourist visas until March 4th. Contact your Thai Embassy and apply for one. You have 90 days to use the visa. If you get it on March 1, you have until June 1 to use it. The Thai officials rarely check for a return ticket when you arrive with a tourist visa. I would fly in with the tourist visa and extend your tourist visa to 90 days, that will cover your first entry.
You will need to buy a tourist or multiple entry visa when you return to Thailand if you need more than the 30 days offered at the airport on arrival. Good luck with your planning.
thankyou for your reply
