Hi guys,

I have been mooching around for the best travel insurance the prices vary so much from about 1'100
to 370 GBP ( that price is for 2 of us )

The cheaper price is through Direct Line I just wondered if anyone had used them and if it's a good policy?

It seems to good to be true

Personal belongings
Personal money
Emergency medical and travel expenses abroad
Cancelling or Cutting short a journey (Curtailment)
Personal accident
Personal liability
If you lose your passport
Legal assistance
Disaster cover

Thanks

Kaz

Hello,

I am not sure what you deem "the best" backpackers insurance. I imagine each company provides roughly the same cover depending on the tier you select. It does seem you are paying well over what you should be though. My cover was global and for 4 months and costs roughly £60. Try insureandgo.com

Yes I agree, I've found Insureandgo the cheapest online for backpackers insurance - with the best benefits as well. (£1k for baggage loss, whereas others were only £500)
