Quoting Calcruzer

Dave,

My wife and I will be in Sedona in May, but did not know about Elote's Cafe--so thanks for the tip. We'll be sure to order the appetizer as well.

P.S. I really appreciate it when the visitors to a place return to the website to let us know about their experience--and what was good or bad about their trip, so that even us "regulars" get tips on the latest sights/restaurants/happenings.

You were so incredibly helpful that I just had to back up my promise to keep in touch with this board. Where is the royalty from Santa Fe these days? Haven't seen "Lady" in a while.

I should temper your expectations on Elote's appetizer. Maybe "spectacular" was not the right word. Unique is a better description. Being from the east a roasted corn dish with tortillas just ain't on the menu next to crab cakes over here.

Dave,

Since we used to live in Maryland (Owings Mills), I know exactly what you mean.

If I ever lived in Owings Mills I'd be tempted to keep that info to myself. ;)

I actually purchased a cookbook from Elote's and gave it to my wife for Christmas. We haven't used it yet as most of the ingredients are summer stuff and seeing as we got 50" of snow in 3 days and haven't seen grass in a month that's kind of a long way away.
