Hi Gail,

How are you? Wow sounds like you've done loads of planning!
Are you still planning on going sept/oct?

Still haven't got my WHV yet, but once I get paid then that is the first thing I'm doing.
Still planning on going end of Oct, I think I have 148 days left or something like that (being counting down on calendar at work, sneaky!).

Have you made many more plans and are you still doing the ozIntro thing?

Hey girlies,

Had a skim through the thread... sounds like fun, fun and a bit more fun.
I have been allowed 4 months off work to travel so have booked flights to squeeze as much in as i can, so i am home in time for xmas;

London - Bangkok overland to Sinagpore - Cairns overland to Melbourne - Auckland - Fiji - LA - New York.
I'll be arriving in Cairns on 27th Sept, and my plan at the moment is to make my way down the coast to Melbourne before flying in to Auckland on 8th November. I really want to stay in Oz longer, and have looked at working, xmas and new year in Sydney, then on to Melbourne and extend my trip to about April time for the rest of the itinerary... just trying to decide if i give up work or not.

I'll be travelling alone - atleast until Fiji as a friend may be meeting me but would be great to meet up with people whilst in Oz. I'm 24, living in Scotland and spending my days wishing September would hurry up!! Be good to get to know some people before i go... bit nervous about taking on the big bad world, alone.

Hi Lou

Hope u is having a good week so far, i have been looking again at insurance and i have found one for £96, which i thought was a bargain, have u had any luck on finding anything xx

Hi Gail. I've not had chance to look at anything this week cos i've not had a day off yet. I'm going to try and look up some info at the weekend. Where did u find the insurance? It sounds like a good deal. Have you booked your flight yet? I think i might be heading west initially, i'm really sorry. I've been speaking to the guy at work and he's been in touch with his mate in perth and it's looking positive with regards to a bit of work for me. We'll have to meet up when i hit the east coast though! Xxxx

HI Lou

Thats great news for you with regards to the work, i hope that it work outs for you,
and we shall defo meet up on the east coast.
The insurance i found was on money and the company was called infinity.
I told my boss on weds that i was going to oz and he was relly supportive which was brill, i feel like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders now that he knows. xx

That's brilliant, i'm so happy for you that they were supportive. Now it's all go!! Get booking and planning girl. I've seen Infinity travel insurance too, but didn't look too much into it so don't know if they're any good. I'm going to do some internet trawling this weekend i think, see what i can find xxx
