Yeah! I'm going to Puerto Rico finally! I'm interested in the new Motorola bluetooth stuff. I think it will be great for my trip so no worries about wires and stuff for my computer, pda, phone etc (I gotta bring this stuff) Also there is a pretty sleek headset available that looks cool. Has anyone actually used bluetooth before? How practical is it for travelers? My hubby will probably make the final decision but feedback would be greatly appreciated. Ty in advance!
bluetooth good but only has range about 10 meters. It gives quicker downloading/uploading and syncing than infrared but slower than a physical connection.
It's a cool gadget to have but not essential.
I mainly use it to sync my address book between my phone and laptop and to transfer the photos. It's very handy for that!
Bluetooth is great, but it's only for short distances as the others mention. You can't connect to the internet with it wirelessly if this is the bottom line? For that you'd need the pda/computer to be enabled with a wireless card. These don't cost much these days mind you but I think you might have a hard time finding access points in Puerto Rico for these although I am not sure about that...???
