HOSPITALITY DESIRED IN ENGLAND

Travel Forums General Talk HOSPITALITY DESIRED IN ENGLAND

Due to the falling dollar we may have to postpone our dream trip to the UK.

O.K., so here's the deal, my wife Holly and I (we are mature [53] and cultured) are planning on a visit to England from 11 April thru 20 April 2005, and we are looking for people that would be willing to put us up and be able to provide some homey comforts during our stay. We’re willing to pay for all our expenses or take our hosts out for dinner and entertainment whilst we are there.

We will be too busy out and sightseeing to get in your way, you may not notice we’re there at all. We would rather not have to pay top dollar for a crappy hotel (won’t be able to afford it if the dollar keeps falling). Hospitality would in turn, be provided should you visit the Great State of California.

If you know of anyone who would like to make a few pounds sterling (and some really nice American friends) in exchange for some temporary house guests; - please reply by PM or E-mail.

Thanks,
Cheeri-O and Toodle Pip

Hi,
You may like to try Global Freeloaders.
People offer you free accommodation in all sorts of environs.
I highly recommend you check out this site.

I have hosted and been hosted whilst travelling.
I also found it a great way to meet locals and immerse myself in the local culture.

Hi there

Have you thought about a home exchange? there are a couple of sites online where you can find people who want to come to your country and stay in your house while you stay in theres.
Not sure if i can give you the website address but if you do a google search and type in home excange or house swap it brings up a few sites.

The one i recommend is the one you don't have to pay to join.

good luck
