-Is it neccesary to book ahead,or can I find a cheap place to sleep, just by looking for one when I get there?.
-Can you recommend something?.
Once again,THANKS FOR EVERY ONE!.

Been to Jamaica a few times. To be honest, I don't remember any hostels in MBJ. Or anywhere else for that matter! Myself I always stayed in hotels. A hotel in MBJ, can be as low as 40USD. Pending on the season. Since you are traveling during off season, you might find some deals. My advice to you is to book a package. You can do that with any travel wholesaler(expedia, orbitz, priceline).
If you need more info...drop me a line!
No worries mon!
there are few hostels in all of JA, there are some ´budget´spots in MoBay but beware of some sketchy neighborhoods, especially after dark. if you are able, try to get out of town the same day and go either east or west from mobay to nicer places in Lucea or Negril (west) or somewhere along the north coast.
folks on Jamaicans.com may be able to provide more specific info about places to stay.
good luck and have a great time!
