Hi All - does anyone know if it's feasible to do these 3 in two weeks? I know it sounds crazy

We are going from Oct 15 - Oct 30 and need to be in Abu Simbel on the 22nd.

In Egypt we wanted to see Cairo/Luxor/Abu Simbel
Turkey - Istanbul
Petra

Thoughts on the best way to break it out? Thanks

Forget it.

Cairo, Luxor, Abu Simbel, Istanbul and Petra are 5 destinations total. Considering the travelling time between the places you'd need at least 14-16 days to spend one full day in each destination.

You'd miss out so much it is just not worth it.

Moreover the only way you would be able to manage such a crazy schedule is with a private jet and an Arabic and Turkish-speaking assistant who has everything planned out to the last detail, right down to the moment at which you are given the opportunity to pee.

If you have two weeks and need to be in Abu Simbel on the 22nd I strongly suggest focusing on Egypt alone. There is enough to see and do in Egypt for 5 weeks, in two weeks you'll find yourself racing around just trying to cover the very basics.

But if you are set on doing all the destinations you listed in a hurry in one very condensed trip I recommend a timeframe of approx. 3-4 weeks.

Yeah that is a bit much. I would do Egypt and Petra which is still a bit of a rush and leave Turkey for another time. Or travel to Turkey and leave Egypt and Petra as a another trip.

You could go to Petra first. Then to Cairo and the surrounding sites. Fly or train to Luxor, where there is so much to enjoy and the hotels are cheap and good. Maybe a boat to Aswan or private car or bus. Then you will get to Abu Simbel by the 22nd. Turkey needs another trip, theres a lot to see there too.--If you try to do it all you wont remember anything, just a mad rushing about ! !

thats true, you are spending a lot of time in egypt , but again, you dont want to miss out those places as well, if you were only travelling like say cairo or luxor , istanbul and petra, spending 3-4 days seeing around each place + travel time, i think then it can be done in less time, but you might have to skip other places
