Is your life boring?

Travel Forums North America Is your life boring?

Hi. My name is Kyle and I'm a nineteen year old male from Toledo, OH. Since graduating high school I have been obsessed with new experiences, whether it be skydiving or learning how to salsa dance. And it all started when I asked myself the simple question, "What do I want to do before I die?"

My answer? "To just live."

And since this past fall of 2009, I have been preparing to do just that. On March 31, 2010 I will be leaving my home to see the United States by bicycle. You heard me bicycle. I'm not sure how long my journey will take at this point but I have decided to break up my travels into yearly segments; this year ending on the West Coast in the town of Leavenworth, WA.

While on the road I will me running two blogs. The first, which has been in operation since last fall, is located at -snip- Just like it's stated in the address, this site is a random collection of things for people to experience for the first time. It's like one of those daily vocabulary calendars where you're given a new word to try every day, except this is geared more towards your bucket list.

The second blog, which will be documenting my trip, is at -snip-

I will be doing this through the use of journal articles, videos, and pictures uploaded on almost a daily basis. I will also be showing readers that you don't need a lot of money to travel and how to survive on a shoestring budget. As well as some stories that I found inspirational in helping me choose my life path and will hopefully motivate you to follow your own dreams.

Well that's all I wanted to let you guys know about today. I've got some more stuff to do before I leave in a couple of weeks so I'll talk to you later. And remember....whenever you feel like doing something different, ask yourself, "Do I dare disturb the universe?" Thanks for reading!

Doing America by bicycle I guess you wont be bored doing that as dodging traffic for 6 months or more sounds anything but boring,be aware you wont be allowed on any of the major expressways or interstate highway system which will relegate you to high speed two lane back roads.
Good luck and i look forward to your trip blog..

PS You might get some interesting tips from the many blogs online from people who have already done trips of this magnitude Didnt read it but heres one =

As a moderator, I might have left your blog listings locations intact, but there are varying opinions about this--and the other moderators apparently found them too commercial.

I suggest you let us know about your travels on here--and maybe copy a diary/blog listing or two. If it generates interest, then we'll leave it up--if it seems too commercial, then maybe not. Either way, I hope you enjoy your trip and share your gained knowledge on the interesting things to see and places to go along your trip.
