Hi, I am a US citizen and I want to visit London, but I have an old burglary charge on my record. I did one year in jail and completed my probation in 2003...

Question: will I have problems entering the UK? I'm asking because about a year ago I was denied access to Canada because of it.... I just don't want to spend all that $$ for tickets and travel 10hrs+ just to get sent back home.

Thanks,

Hello, I'm in a similar situation. I'm going for a short visit and am wondering how your trip ended up? Did you get in ok, did it even come up at customs were you denied entry, any information would be appreciated, thanks.

They wont ask you unless they suspect something.
And they dont have access to US criminal records. They would have to suspect you of being a criminal for some reason at the gate, contact the police, and THEY can check your criminal record Im sure. But customs would not unless you are extremely unlucky and they happen to ask you if you have a criminal record. This is very rare.
