Hi all!

I would like to ask you some informations about a specific case of entry into Schengen Area (Italy).

My girlfriend is an U.S. citizen and she came to visit me between January and February for 30 days.
Now she is back to the U.S. and she is planning to come back to Italy for the summer.
She came here under C type Visa ( tourist) and I know the time she was allowed to stay is 90 days out of 180 days.

My issue is:

if she comes here in May, then she will be still under the 180 days, and she will have 60 days more to stay.
At the end of June those days will expire as well the 180 days.
What about after it? Is she allowed to stay 90 days more on the basis of a new 180 days regime?
Does she have to leave Italy for a non-schengen country for a few days?
Or is it more difficoult?

Thank you very much for your help anyways.

if your girlfriend is a US citizen carrying a US passport, then she doesn't need a visa to Italy. Just use the passport to enter.
