I am currently in Utila, Honduras but will be leaving in the next couple of weeks. The plan is to head straight for Copan and then into Guatemala. I want to travel through Guatemala to El Salvador to Nicaragua. Do you think 1 month is enough time to do this?
Also any tips on must sees in these countries would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
1 month is enough time. Your initial plan is well thought out. Utila-LaCieba-via San Pedro Sula-Copan-Guatemala City/Antigua/Lake Atitlan/Highlands, visit Tikal (Flores Peten) if you have the time, in Honduras and Honduras to Guatemala use transport Hedman Alas, from Guatemala to El Salvador to Nicaragua use the Tica Bus between those countries. Within countries, pullmans, shuttles(in Guatemala) and chicken buses. Pick up trucks serve as public transport in very remote areas. Travel light. After arrival, get away from bus terminals and the areas around them as soon as possible, get to your lodging place, lock up passport , valuables and extra cash. Enjoy.
I live in El Salvador, before that Guatemala. Able to send you specific info. on El Salvador & Guatemala if you desire. Just send me a personal mesage on TP. I will message you back. Buen Viaje.
Nothing to add, just backing DBloom.
