Just bouncing round ideas for moving abroad....
Im thinking in terms of...

  • ease of visa application
  • cost of living
  • weather
  • relaxed lifestyle
  • safety

Where in the world??!

Im British, and my partner is south african with a british passport/citizenship
Neither of us have a degree or anything that would be considered special skills
We could both do teaching

Thanks for ideas in advance :)

I kinda like Montreal
Has European flavor due to a predominantly French population
Close to USA for expanded travel opportunities
Ocean not too far away
rivers,lakes and mountains abound.
Weather could be a problem if you dont like 4 months of winter
Safer than American cities in the 3 million people range

Seasonally.... Islas Canarias.
Warm all year round, easy going, plenty of work (if you dont mind just an average wage and quite long hours), very little crime (anyone who has a run in with the local cops is a fool), fairly cheap accommodation and ultra friendly locals.
Oh - lovely scenery too, as well as all year round warm sea. The islands never close.. 24/7/365(6)

Australia, I think...
Cause I've heard that the Aussies put a lot of value on family and social gatherings...
