I have travelled to Cambodia on a few occassions and am wanting to go back and perhaps live for a year. Is anyone working/ living in Cambodia? Can you give me an idea as to how hard or easy it would be to gain employment? I would be willing to do anything. On previous visits I have volunteered in orphanages. I am a hairdresser by trade, but I dont think this would be a useful skill to help gain employment in Cambodia. Any ideas?

I am also hoping to do the same. Looking forward to reading some responses.

some of the bars in Sihanoukville look to hire western bar managers during the high season - i think they pay about $250 a month - could be wrong. Teaching English is the obvious easy way in. Local hire is so cheap that unless you work for a NGO then it's very difficult unless you have specialist skills in areas like project management etc.
