Hi all,

I have about 10 days off work (including travel time to and from Australia) at the end of April and am thinking about heading to SE Asia during this time. I have travelled through Vietnam and Cambodia, so this time was thinking about doing Laos? Obviously I wouldn't be able to see much of the country but do you think that this is a reasonable enough time to do Vientiane/Luang Prubang/Vang Vieng, or if given the choice would you choose somewhere else in SE Asia? I'm not looking to rush around too much, hoping to do some sight seeing and some relaxing, nothing too adventurous or physical.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

10 days should be just enough to do that route. I'd spend half your time in Luang Prabang with the remainder of the time split between the other 2 places. The journey between Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng is stunning so don't miss that. I'd also recommend the tubing in Vang Vieng.

I agree with Bex...10 days is just enough time for the route through Laos. Definitely spend more time in Luang Prabang, great coffee and cakes there to enjoy while watching the world go by.
