Hello everyone, shortly I will be landing in Brisbane and am looking for the cheapest transfer to get to the Gold Coast. I checked out that Airtrain but unfortunately it doesn't stop anywhere near my destination (Broadbeach). So I think a shuttle will be the best way to go - can anyone recommend a cost effective way of taking care of this part of my trip?
I don't have experience with this, but I'd expect a shuttle to be hugely expensive to get that far south of Brisbane with (it's something like 90km from the airport). Probably your best bet is to take the airtrain into Brisbane proper, then switch to a regular train to Nerang, and then to take a bus from there to Broadbeach.
I recently stayed a week at Broadbeach, take the shuttle, it's the easiest and cheapest way

Really, from Brisbane airport (BNE, not OOL)? My 6 year old lonely planet claims that it's $35 from the airport, so I'd expect that to have risen to $45-ish by now (going to a random google hit for bne gold coast airport shuttles and pricing it out gives $44). Versus probably $25-ish by train...
