Moderator War on Lonely Planet

Of course we do Michael!

Wow - that's a little embarrassing for Thorn Tree! It doesn't really surprise me though as there seem to be lots of people with attitude on that forum.

You betcha, Michael!! We're one big happy moderating family!! Though, I bet there there are no TT Moms and/or Dads with crowbars and holy hoses of discipline over there either. Sibling rivalry - gotta love it. Thankfully we don't need psychiatrist Dr. Goran Wossar to counsel us over here.

(It does strike me a bit odd about the time the war broke out and the time the blog entry was post... "At 10:15am (GMT) on 1 April 2010, US-based Thorn Tree moderator docbrown posted a message intended to calm the turbulent waters of the forum’s volatile Scandinavia branch." The blog entry was also posted 1 April 2010 at 10:15am. Hmmmm.... April Fools???)

By the way, from now on everyone will be required to spell "whilst" the correct way - "while". I tired of tweaking all the posts in my forums.

Off to correct all the misspellings of Colombia in CA/SA.

And, who knew Scandinavians could be so volatile. They seem such a peaceful population.

All they should have done is refer to travellerspoint.com (with double l), to avoid a moderator war

I hope Sam the Scandinavian won't be mad now, that Viking!

Um, excuse me fellow Moderator Mike.......I may have to call the grammar police on you....."each other" should be 2 words......

Damn glad we all love each other, if for no other reason than our senses of humor...well, that, and the mops and brooms. Mine are red. I like red. Besides, Lonely Planet sounds so........lonely. At least we have a "point" to make here at Travellerspoint!!!!!

Was it for real and for true, though? It was on April 1st! It had to have been performance art. Would a site dedicated to travel and culture sharing really say such things? I suppose, when human beings get involved, it all falls apart.

More importantly, how does David Schwimmer fit into all of this?

Shut the f*ck up Beermaniac
In Dutch it's one word, which expresses the close relationship between two people..or more

If it was 1 April, than I think it should have been removed by now.

Haha, I think David Schwimmer is the worst US contribution to world culture that Irene could think of. Surely Adam Sandler is more annoying?

I'm pretty sure that was April fools.... I can't imagine them publicly drawing attention to it otherwise :) Funnily enough I was thinking of doing a April fools joke that we had bought LP from the BBC because of how much money they are losing online, but I deemed it too likely to be believed and thus cause other problems instead of just a joke...

That's rich, coming from nation that conjugates whole sentences into one word!

Must've taken you all night to extract all the words from "ThankGodwemoderatorsloveeachotherright" ?

No, seriously, I love you all.....NOT !! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA......
