I've heard that there are programs out there where you can obtain your TEFL qualification, reimbursed flights (upon completion of a year contract), free accommodation, and host of other benefits in China or South Korea. Has anyone got any recommendations for where I could find these deals? And are they a safe bet or risky? Even better, would love to include language lessons umongst this!

I'm working in S Korea. You need a Degree in any subject in order to get a work permit here but you dont need a TEFL qualification. I got my flights paid for, I have free accomodation and a good wage. There are many many companies that can find you work out here. Just google teaching english in s korea and you will find them. Its best to get everything sorted before you come out. I am just about to start my 2nd year here as I am really enjoying it.

Is the era of submitting hard copies of the CV over? Must everything be an online application?

Some of those schools that sell the instant teacher certificates, make you work for FREE, its called Training, but you are in an actual class and the students paid to see you.
