Travel Forums Europe Traveling Advice?

I am traveling solo to the UK from May 16 to May 31. I have some ideas as to what I want to do. I am planning on the first three days in Bath so I can go on some tours to see stonehenge and things like that. Since I lived in HK and now in NY, i am more interested in nature than the city. I also plan for a couple of days in wales and also in the lake district. Anyone with any advice would be great since this is the first time I am traveling in Europe. Thank you in advance.:)

Visit the Lakelands area, if you can. It is some of the most dramatic scenery that I've come across in England. If you're going to stop in at a pub on the way, ALWAYS pick a pub in a widening of the road town.....Those pubs, in my experience, tend to have more of a community atmosphere and you end up getting some interesting invitations. Raise a glass for old Piecar. I'd live in Northern England if it wasn't so fucking expensive.

For the touristy stuff there are pretty good bus tours where you can see a few sites in 1 day.
Otherwise bus is a great way to get around. Transport is pretty easy in UK.
