Hi,

I will be going to EBC in mid Nov this year. I have bought some necessary stuffs for the trip like clothing etc (till got a lot to buy). Now, my biggest concern is -- hiking boot. Apparently there is not much option here over in Malaysia, what i have came across is the brand called Bestard from Spain. Anyone experience with this brand before?

What other brand/model would you guys suggest?

cheers,
Stc.

I know Hanwag, La Sportiva, Scarpa, Lowa and Meindl.

Note that you should buy your hiking boots at least a year in advance. You need to break them in so that they are comfortable. Here in Europe we wear them as winter boots, most people will not bring a pair on to a tour that they did not have for at least 2 winters.
