I am a Singaporean who intend to travel alone to South America for 3 months from Jul 2010 to Sep/Oct 2010. Plan to travel to Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and then Argentina.
Start will be in Peru and end will be in Argentina.
I think I would be able to get a cheap ticket from Singapore to Los Angelas. What are the recommendations for flights from Los Angeles to Lima, and from Buonos Aires to Los Angelas? I.e. What cheap airline options do I have? Are these flights daily or frequent?
Also, I guess it will be ok for me to book the outward flight from Argentina when I'm in Argentina?
Any other suggestions will be welcomed. Tks!
Trying to save some costs on airfare here

Apart from budget airlines (which don't fly the routes you mentioned), a one-way ticket is almost always more expensive than a return ticket! So instead, buy a ticket LA-Lima and BA-LA as one return ticket.
Check the Los Angeles airport wiki page to see which airlines you can contact.
By the way, you can also travel cheaply from Singapore (or KL) with Air Asia to Australia and check if there are decent options from Sydney to South America. You can also fly with LAN Chile to Santiago or Aerolinas Argentinas to Buenos Aires and make a loop. If you have 3 months there is no need to fly out of a different city. Might be a better option to fly out of the same city, you will have more and cheaper options.
I managed to book my flights via Houston, US. Long trip to reach South America, but guess that's the cheapest and most viable option I have.
