Hi,
Thanks for bringing this thread to the surface again I'm a bit miffed I missed it before this.
Reading is a passion of mine and I've had to stop myself from visiting second hand bookstores as I'm trying to save cash for travelling.
Here's a question though what would anyone recommend as a book to bring away?I want something not too bulky that will last.

If you liked Ghost Soldiers I'd also recommend A Bridge Too Far,Black Hawk Down, We Were Soldiers Once and more recently Jarhead. The middle two were much, much better than their respective films.

I love spending time in bookshops.. travel, fiction - historic novels, thrillers, science fiction, cooking & the funny card section

We have book exchanges here in NZ where you can buy cheap second hand books & then return them to the store for a credit (couple $ less than what you paid) and then spend that credit on more books.. its great

I adore bookstores! I spend hours in there.

Summer, I even sleep there and awake and then go to have green tea and then will listen to some cds and bug into books! 3-4 times per week...my mum is complaining me staying there more often than at home

We just have the biggest book-store ever in Malaysia? Borders (from US)... they are competiting with local bookstores MPH, POPULAR and Japnese Kinokuniya. Sigh...Malaysia has a very small range of readers but with large and spacious bookstores? What's the point?

Lee

The point? To get more people to read!!!
Which could never be a bad thing!

I think we (malaysian) shall invite you to be the spokesperson of the "get more Readers campaign"
